Omega Speedmaster Moonphase 44.25mm steel on leather strap

The Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic timepieces, having been a part of all six lunar missions. Taking the spirit of exploration a step further, this new Moonphase features two infinitely small yet photo-realistic moons.
This 44.25 mm model features a black sun-brushed dial, with rhodium-plated indexes.At 6 o’clock is the accurate Moonphase indication, which features a metallic crystal disc microstructured to obtain a high resolution image of the moon.
The stainless steel case is complemented by a black ceramic bezel ring with Liquidmetal tachymeter scale and presented on a black leather strap with a polished-brushed foldover clasp.
Powering the timepiece is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9904, which has been officially certified by METAS.

Anti-magnetic
The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Chronograph

Moonphase
A moonphase watch uses a function which tracks the phases of the moon. One lunar cycle is 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds and includes four phases: new moon, first quarter, full moon, last quarter.
Small seconds
A hand on a sub-dial which tracks seconds typically it completes a full rotation in one minute.
Tachymeter
A tachymeter watch has a function for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read in kilometres per hour based on a 1000 metre distance.
Transparent caseback
A transparent caseback – frequently made of sapphire – makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
