Portofino Chronograph 39
The Portofino Chronograph 39 combines classic and elegant Portofino design with a sporty chronograph complication. Its slightly reduced case diameter of 39 millimetres ensures excellent wearability even on more slender wrists. This version features a stainless steel case and a 5-link stainless steel bracelet, which offers robustness and high wearing comfort. The interplay between brushed and satin-finished surfaces results in a contemporary and elegant look. Thanks to the integrated quick-change system, the bracelet can be exchanged in no time at all. The rhodium-plated hands and appliques harmonize with the silver-plated dial. At work inside the case is the IWC-manufactured 69355 calibre chronograph movement, enabling the measurement of stop times of up to 30 minutes. The chronograph in classic column-wheel design is visible through the sapphire glass case back.

Founded in 1868 by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones, IWC is renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship, innovative engineering, and timeless designs. The brand has several iconic collections, each with its unique characteristics and history. Here's an introduction to some of the most notable collections from IWC: Pilot's Watches: Inspired by aviation, the Pilot's Watches collection is perhaps the most recognizable and emblematic of the IWC brand. These watches are known for their robustness, legibility, and precision. The collection includes a range of models, from the classic Mark series to the sophisticated Big Pilot's Watches and the historical-inspired Spitfire series. Portugieser: The Portugieser collection is distinguished by its precision, complexity, and elegant designs. Originating in the 1930s when two Portuguese businessmen commissioned IWC to create large, precise wristwatches, the Portugieser has become a hallmark of sophisticated watchmaking. This collection features a variety of complications, including chronographs, perpetual calendars, and tourbillons. Portofino: Named after the Italian Riviera town known for its luxury and charm, the Portofino collection embodies understated elegance and timeless style. These watches are characterized by their simple, classic design, making them perfect for both casual and formal occasions. The collection includes hand-wound models, automatic watches, and those with moon phase complications. Da Vinci: The Da Vinci collection is a tribute to the Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci, reflecting innovation and creativity in watchmaking. This collection is known for its distinctive case shapes, ranging from round to tonneau, and its complex features like perpetual calendars, chronographs, and tourbillon mechanisms. Aquatimer: The Aquatimer collection is IWC's line of diver's watches, designed to meet the demands of underwater exploration. These watches are noted for their robustness, water resistance, and innovative features like the SafeDive system for tracking dive time. The collection caters to professional divers and watch enthusiasts alike. Ingenieur: Originally designed in the 1950s for scientists and engineers, the Ingenieur collection boasts anti-magnetic properties and a robust design. Over the years, it has evolved to include a range of models featuring sporty yet elegant designs, with some models showcasing advanced materials like titanium and ceramic. Each IWC collection offers a distinct blend of tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship, catering to various tastes and requirements. Whether you're drawn to the technical sophistication of the Portugieser, the elegant simplicity of the Portofino, or the adventurous spirit of the Aquatimer, IWC has a timepiece that reflects both the heritage of fine Swiss watchmaking and the individual wearer's style.
