The moon phase display has a special place in the tradition of our manufactory. With their latest creation, our designers and engineers have completely reinterpreted the classic complication and showcased it in the centre of an avant-garde timepiece. The PanoLunarInverse is the first model from Glashutte Original to feature an inversely constructed movement with a moon phase display. The new timepiece is presented in an elegant platinum case and has a diameter of 42 mm.

Spectacular moon phase display
The starry sky in this model is made of aventurine, also known as goldstone. First produced in the 17th century by master glassmakers in the Venetian town of Murano, the material is known for its fine sparkle and intense colour. The moon itself is crafted in relief and its surface is 3D laser-engraved to reflect the craters and mountains of the earth’s natural satellite. Though the moon is normally the herald of the night, its silent presence can be felt at any hour with the PanoLunarInverse: Once it has passed through the cut-out section of the dial, it continues its orbit, still visible beneath the grey-blue sapphire crystal.
Modern architecture
Just like the PanoMaticInverse, the new model features an unusual design: Parts of the movement are mounted inversely so that they are visible from the dial side. The result is an eye-catching design that offers unique insights into the intricate mechanics and creates a window into its very own universe – namely, the balance. It can be admired on the front, beneath a black rhodium-plated balance bridge with an intricate guilloche decoration. Typical features of Glashutte watchmaking meet with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques to deliver a distinctly modern architecture.
Masterpiece with rarity value
This masterpiece with a heavenly appearance is limited to 200 pieces worldwide. The hand-crafted and finely finished automatic calibre 91-04 delivers a power reserve of 45 hours. In keeping with the lunar leitmotif, the skeletonised rotor is itself adorned with a domed moon, which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back. The PanoLunarInverse is worn on a grey Louisiana alligator nubuck leather strap or a blue synthetic strap made from yarn that is produced entirely from recycled material.
