The stainless steel case of this refined observation watch is 44 mm in diameter and is perfectly polished and satin-brushed. This mechanical timepiece comes with a choice of black leather strap or a stainless steel link bracelet with fine adjustment mechanism. The sapphire crystal case back permits a clear view of the finely finished manufacture movement.

The art of navigation
To determine the exact position of their ship on the high seas, naval officers used observation watches, also known as “deck watches”, along with marine chronometers and other instruments. Observation watches thus had to be robustly built, exceptionally precise, and easy to read even in poor conditions of visibility.
Handcrafted black dial
To improve legibility even in poor lighting conditions, the white gold hour and minute hands, the Arabic numerals and the hour markers are generously inlaid with Super-LumiNova. The power reserve display is also legible at night, as are the hands and indexes on the small seconds. By day, the handmade matt black dial provides an elegant contrast to the luminous Arabic numerals in their historical typeface.

The beating heart of the Senator Observer is the manufacture’s Calibre 100-14, a movement with automatic winding and refined decorative finishing. Although traditional observation watches were powered by manual winding movements, the Senator Observer features a state-of-the-art automatic movement offering optimal comfort for the wearer.
