“Once upon a time…” The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work on German and European folk tales among which are some of the most famous fairy tales such as “Snow White”, “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty”.This writing instrument is made from Au 750 solid signature gold and, as an homage to the tale of “Hansel and Gretel”, covered in blackened ebony wood featuring several Au 750 solid signature gold inlays.The back of the cap holds a hand-engraved Au 750 solid signature gold inlay while also allowing a peak inside to reveal the precious nib.The cap is crowned by the Montblanc Emblem in precious Au 750 solid white gold delicately resembling the letters “A” to “F” under sapphire glass.The Au 750 solid signature gold clip, also inspired by a knobby piece of wood, surprisingly reveals the silhouette of the profile of the Brothers Grimm when turned.As an homage to the magic of storytelling, the handcrafted Au 750 solid signature gold-coated nib bears flames which were often the setting around which folklore stories were passed on. With signature gold and/or signature gold-coating, Montblanc describes the enlightened shade of yellow gold which has become an appreciated tone for the Maison’s Writing Instruments.
